Berg Larsen Hard Rubber Duckbill Tenor Mouthpiece

I bought this mouthpiece on eBay on August 3, 2007. One day during the late Spring of 2007 I was walking through the Central Park, New York City, to places where I usually see some sax players in the park playing for tourists. I saw this spooky fellow playing with a very powerfull, beautiful sound on MKVI. Definitely, he did not look like an amateur. Started chatting with him and I learned that he was a player in Cotton Club All Stars big band. He was playing on the similar Berg Larsen mouthpiece which influenced me to try to find Berg Larsen mouthpiece and give it a try.

Finding one was not that difficult. Finding a ligature for it was. I spent few months searching and ended up buying the original one in one New York music store, paying for it almost half the price I paid for the mouthpiece.

The piece plays great. Powerfull, full sound with presence, not too spread. Can do many music styles, can play solo or in bands, even electric ones. You will definitely be heard.

Here is what Theo says about these.

Well, over the years I was not really playing it as I prefer other pieces that I have. A friend of mine, sax player Sasa Celeketic from Novi Sad had an accident on one gig. Some drunk guest knocked down his horn breaking his Berg Larsen, same model as this one, even same SMS 105/2. I sold this one to him in Summer 2015. Keep your horn safe this time :-).
