Dukoff D10 Miami Florida Silverite Tenor Mouthpiece
I bought this one on eBay on March 20, 2005, while searching for a sound. However, I never grew to have the chops to properly drive
this baby and at that time I also got attached to hard rubber pieces. It had a lot of power and whoever plays it will definitely be
heard. I was the second owner of this piece and I though that the best description of it would be to quote the first owner that
sold it to me, as given below.
I only played it for couple of hours. My teacher tried it and it did sound very similar to his Guardala MBII.
Paid for it 200$. Sold it to a player in South Korea in March 2006. Good luck!
Original add
Up for auction is my beloved vintage (70's) Dukoff Super Power Chamber in a rare D-10 tip opening. I chose this over a D-9 many years
ago (on the advice of Bobby's late tech, during a visit to his shop) and it was my main piece until a few years ago, when it became
apparent that I didn't have the wind or the embouchure to handle it any more.
You will not believe how powerful this mouthpiece sounds! If you're into the sound of Michael Brecker in the early Brecker Bros. days,
you'll love this mouthpiece. Tremendous power and projection, very responsive with total control in all registers, from lower-register
sub-tones to screaming altissimo. Responds very much like the Guardala Brecker II model, only won't cost you an arm and a leg!
Marked 'Miami, Florida', this highly sought-after piece is a rare, early example of the consistent craftsmanship Dukoff Super Power
Chamber mouthpieces were always known for. The piece has minor wear typical of a vintage Dukoff, but nothing that affects playability
whatsoever. After several years of consistent use, I'd worn a significant groove in the bite plate, so I've had it professionally
replaced with a new one in preparation for auction.
