Dukoff M7 Miami Florida Silverite Tenor Mouthpiece

I bought this one from a smooth jazz/r'n'b player from Singapore on September 22, 2008. Paid 200$.

As I play mostly jazz ballads, I never spent too much time on it. I was initally drawn to it as some people called these Dukoff's "poor man Guardala". Wanted to give it a try. It's a bit darker, warmer than Dukoff D series. Silverite gets very ugly, so the piece was never a "looker". Craftmanship looks poor, but this one really played effortlessly. Easy to push, easy to whisper. Control was great, top to bottom.

I would describe it as a classic studio model. You can play rock, fusion, scream if you need to, play softly. You will be heard if you play with electric instruments, for sure.

When I started collecting funds for alto sax, I decided to pass this one to another player. This one was sold through KupujemProdajem on December 14, 2013 for 130 eur. Went to Aleksander, sax player from Belgrade. Good luck!

Up for auction:
This is a Vintage Dukoff M7 MIAMI FLORIDA tenor sax mouthpiece from the 80s. It is in wonderful shape. Usual scratches on top due to ligature. Slight groove on the tooth/bite plate but I've always used a rubber patch on top of it. The M-chamber Dukoff is just like the D-chamber, but it has a lower baffle. I feel that this makes the mouthpiece have a much broader sound whilst retaining the unique Dukoff signature tone. It's like a marriage between a really good Otto Link STM Florida and a Guardala Brecker.

Have the best of both worlds! Peel the walls with a King Curtis R&B groove or lay on a smooth and lush jazz ballad. This baby works for you whichever way you want her to. I've played many Dukoffs on tenor and this one is easily one of the BEST I've owned. Altissimo is effortless and the subtones on the lower registers simply 'pour' out of your horn.
