Vandoren V16 T75 Metal Tenor Mouthpiece

I bought this mouthpiece on eBay on April 27, 2006. At the time this one was known as the nicest modern stock mouthpiece you could get. I decided to give it a try. The T75 opening was quite comfortable and it played nicely. The tone was very even, and the pitch was excellent. Easy to play, free blowing top to bottom. However, it just did not have 'that' sound that would advance it to my main piece. Did not spent much time on it either, so I really did not give it a fair chance. Later on, over the years, I heard many players playing it and their sound was awesome. Laki Akos, or Bunford Gabor to name a few.

Description from WWBW site:
Designed as the ultimate jazz mouthpiece, the V16 Metal is made with the legendary "Bell Metal" brass then plated with 24 karat gold (24BB). This construction yields a dark and expressive sound.
T75 - The "standard reference" in its category. Tip: 265 / Facing: Med Long

Paid for it 152.50$ when new was 260$. Sold it to a player in South Corea in July 2006 for 135$. Good luck!

Original add

You are bidding on a barely used Vandoren V16 gold plated tenor saxophone mouthpiece. The size is T75. It feels very similar in size to a metal Otto Link 7*. The tone is very even, and the pitch might be the best (on tenor) that I've ever played. I believe this mouthpiece was designed to be the compromise (in price range and tone) between the Dave Guardala mouthpieces and Otto Link. This mouthpiece is in like-new condition. You will find it impossible to find any signs of use on this mouthpiece. I'm selling mine for less than half price at $110. No returns please. These mouthpieces are machine-made. You've played one, you've played them all.
